As for TV I'm a big fan of crime and legal drama (Criminal Minds, The Closer, and all L&O) speculative (Star Trek, Battlestar Gallactica, Farscape, Medium, Buffy & Angel, Firefly, The X Files, Supernatural) and good comedy (Sports Night, Friends, S-- and the City, Arrested Development.)
I'm a giant fan of Joss Whedon and a fan of Aaron Sorkin, Chuck Lorre, and Chris Carter.
I like intelligent debate and you don't have to agree with me. I can talk about nearly anything except cars and sports. I am progressively political.
